Estle Thurman Keith

MSgt Estle Thurman Keith, Jr., 75, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Virginia Keith, died Saturday, August 28, 2010, peacefully at home.


Born July 24, 1935 in Cooperative, Kentucky, he was one of five children of Estle Thurman Keith, Sr. and Cora Abbott Keith, and attended Baileysville High School in West Virginia. He served 26 years in the United States Air Force and retired as Master Sergeant.  His second career began at Alumax, now known as Alcoa, where he worked in the rod shop and finished his career as the tool room attendant.  He retired in December 2009 after 30 years.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family.


He  is survived by Virginia Keith, his wife of 52 years,  five daughters and their husbands;  Loretta and Robert Hunt, Hanahan, SC, Anita and Danny Linder,  James Island, SC, Wanna and Eddy Sikes, Goose Creek, SC, Joann and Danny Rasor, Sherman TX, Patricia McCaulley, Sherman TX. His brother, Edward "Tag" Keith, West Virginia, nine grandchildren; Jessica, Brittany, Todd, Madalyn, Samantha, Daylin, Robert, Ryan, and Melony, and two great grandchildren Jeremy and Kailynn.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Co Perry Keith, Okle Keith and his sister Dimples Osborne.


The memorial service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at  4:00 PM.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  A private interment service with military honors will be held at Plantation Memorial Gardens.
