Esther Jones Schlichter, 91, of Isle of Palms, SC, wife of the late Charles Chester Schlichter, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012. Funeral services will be private. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Mrs. Schlichter was born November 29, 1920 in Coffee County, Kansas, daughter of the late Charles Marion Jones and Ola Waugamouth Jones. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross of Sullivan's Island. She loved gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ola Leppert of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Sally Smith of Bothell, WA; son, Keith Schlichter of Isle of Palms, SC; two sisters, Dorothy Webster of Sullivan's Island, SC and Ruth Allen of Garnett, KS; brother, Paul Jones of Leroy, KS; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
