Estelle N. Sharpe, 79, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, October 29, 2017. Her graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Estelle was born August 8, 1938 in Banks County, GA, daughter of the late Kermit Newsome and the late Mae Smith Newsome. She retired from Bell South/ATT after 30 years and was a member of Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by four children, Rocky Sharpe of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Roger Sharpe, Michael Sharpe (Julie) and Carole Mears (Jack) all of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren, Sara Meador (Christopher) of Holly Springs, NC, Elizabeth Mears, David Sharpe, Anna Sharpe and William Sharpe all of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Lois Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Lila McClure of Palm Cove, FL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artie Sharpe, sister, Thelma Kelly and brother, Joe Newsome.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Heart Assoc. of SC, Memorial Processing Center, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
