Ervin B. Fowler

Ervin Bailey Fowler, 75, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Geraldine Rich Fowler, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in a local hospital.

Born April 8, 1937 in Tabor City, NC; he was the son of Herbert Bailey Fowler and Nina Etheridge Fowler. He was a retired grain elevator superintendent with the SC Farm Bureau and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Fowler of North Charleston, SC; son, Ervin "Keith" Fowler and his wife Jadene of Winston Salem, NC; daughters: Teresa Fowler of Summerville, SC, Sherry Martin and her husband Gene of Goose Creek, SC, Donna Jones of North Charleston, SC, Christy Uptain of North Charleston, SC and a special daughter, Julia Simms of Summerville, SC; mother, Nina Fowler of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren: Angela Brew and her husband Kevin of Fairfield, ID, Robbie Dawsey and his wife Agnes of Eloree, SC, Justin Fowler of Silver Springs, MD, Nathan Fowler and his wife Rebecca of Winston Salem, NC, Teresa Marie Fowler of Summerville, SC, Steven Kennedy of North Charleston, SC, Austin Jones of North Charleston, SC and Tyler Jones of North Charleston, SC; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Carolyn Benton and her husband Jimmy of Goose Creek, SC, Linda Tanner and her husband Teddy of Meggett, SC and Phyllis Fowler of Charleston, SC; brothers, Larry Fowler and his wife Patty of Yulee, FL and Gary Fowler and his wife Janice of Summerville, SC. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Bobby Fowler.

The service celebrating his life will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Thursday, June 28, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
