Ernest Weatherford, 44, of North Charleston, SC died Sunday, April 1, 2012, in Jackson, MS.
Born October 11, 1967 in Charleston, SC he was one of eight children of Lloyd Weatherford and Dorothy Martin Weatherford. He attended Garrett High School. He was an airport baggage handler and former City of Charleston Employee.
Mr. Weatherford is survived by his daughter, Ashley Weatherford; stepson, Dante Brown both of North Charleston, SC; sisters: Dorothy Moore (Rick) of Jackson, MS, Estelle Anderson of St. Stephen, SC and Gennett McCoy of Ladson, SC; brothers, Glenn Weatherford of Jackson, MS, and Charlie Weatherford (Pam) of North Charleston, SC; best friend, Jimmy Williams of North Charleston, SC; special great-niece, Hayley Nicole Thigpen of Jackson, MS; several nieces and nephews; and many special cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lloyd Weatherford "Junior".
The family wishes to thank Dr. William Clare and Christina Hamolia who took wonderful care of Ernest.
The funeral service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:30 pm. Entombment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's North Area Chapel Friday, April 6, 2012, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
Flowers will be accepted.
