Ernest Robert Godsey

Entered into eternal rest the evening of Sunday, November 07, 2010, Ernest Robert Godsey.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  Family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Godsey are invited to attend the funeral service of the former in Pierpont Baptist Church, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at two o'clock.  Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston Wednesday evening from five until seven o'clock.  Memorials may be made to Pierpoint Baptist Church, 2508 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.

Born January1, 1953 in Charleston, SC, Ernest was the son of the late Katherine Richburg Godsey and Ernest Ben Godsey, Jr.  He was a member of Pierpont Baptist Church.  Mr. Godsey worked for Sumter Utilities as an underground Utilities Electrician.

Mr. Godsey was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and attended Garrett High School.

Survivors include his father: Ernest Ben Godsey, Jr.; wife: Linda Wyndham Godsey; two sons: Jason R. Godsey and Chad E. Godsey all of Charleston and his brother: Ben S. Godsey of Myrtle Beach, SC.
