Erinn McClain Brown, 36, of Summerville, S.C., passed away May 26, 2026, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, S.C. after a lengthy illness.

Erinn was born November 26, 1989, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was a 2008 graduate of East Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, N.C., and attended East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.

Those who knew and loved Erinn will remember her for her humor, her creative spark, and her willingness to speak out against injustice. Her greatest legacy in this world is her beautiful children, Emmett and Eleanor, in whom she was instilling a generosity of spirit, compassion, understanding, curiosity and resilience.

Erinn is survived by her husband Jackson Brown and their children Emmett Brown and Eleanor Brown; father and step-mother Timothy McClain and Margaret McClain, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; mother Lori Stemen of Seattle, Washington; sister Meghan McClain of Durham, N.C.; step-brother William Holloway, his wife Sierra Crosby-Holloway, and their daughter Ella Grace Holloway, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and father-in-law & mother-in-law Kenneth Brown, Jr. and Kimberly Brown, of Conway, S.C.

Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, with a reception to follow the service.
