Eric Russo

Eric Russo, 49, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Melissa Nichols-Russo entered into eternal rest Monday, October 16, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:30 pm.  Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at 1:30, and following the interment with a reception at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel.

Eric was born March 14, 1974, in Amityville, New York, son of Lorraine Russo and the late John Russo.  He loved the lowcountry, being outdoors and working for Charleston County Parks and Recreation. You could find him with the people he loved, cooking, fishing, listening to music, dirt biking, and camping. He was a dedicated Boy Scout leader of Troop 15 and will be remembered for the way he loved his family. Eric is gone too soon and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Melissa Nichols-Russo of Mt. Pleasant; children, Rebekah Russo and Evan Russo, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three sisters, Stephanie Russo of Sayville, NY, Tracy Gundy (Shawn) of West Ashley, SC, and Jodi Gibson (Christopher) of Fayetteville, GA; nieces Macie and Ramey, nephews,
Graham, Tristan, and Grant. He was preceded in death by father, John Russo, and son, Aaron Russo.
