Era Lorraine Franklin, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Leonard Franklin entered into eternal rest Monday, September 12, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Era was born October 5, 1933 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late William Rhett Chassereau and Frances Caraway Chassereau. She was a graduate of Roper Hospital Nursing Program where she received the Irene Dixon Award. Era was an ICU Nurse with Roper Hospital for over 10 years before transferring to DCI where she worked for over 20 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon F. Leff of Charleston, SC, Faith L. Franklin of Hepzibah, GA; two sons, William L. Franklin of Charleston, SC, and Blake S. Franklin of Summerville, SC; brother, Walter Chassereau of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
