Emma Willis Schwuchow, 99, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Walter Francis Schwuchow entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 13, 2018. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 15, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 in Johns Island Presbyterian Church, 2550 Bohicket Road at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Johns Island Presbyterian Churchyard.
Emma was born January 8, 1919 in Plum Branch, SC, daughter of the late Joseph Pressley Willis and Orre Smith Willis. She was a retired U.S.Postal Worker and a member of Johns Island Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Betty"Grimball of Charleston, SC; three sons, Walter F. Schwuchow, III., (Margaret) of Rockville, SC, Glenn Richard Schwuchow of Johns Island, SC, George Frederick Schwuchow (Sally) of Hollywood, SC; two sisters, Kate Lindley, and Margie Walker both of McCormick, SC; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
