Emily Roberts Morgan

Mrs. Emily Roberts Morgan,"Tillie" 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Harold Deas Morgan Sr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 6, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.

Emily was born December 18, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida, to Hugh and Elizabeth Caddin Roberts. She was a resident of Charleston for most of her life living the last 4 years in North Carolina near her son Jim Morgan and wife Debbie. Emily was a retired local grocery worker with the meat department. She was known for her remarkable memory of family events and dates and often family and friends would call her to verify dates, times and event details.

She is survived by her two sons, Harold D. Morgan Jr. (Linda) of Aiken, SC and James H. Morgan (Debbie) of Fuquay-Varina, NC. She was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren, Henry Morgan, Kirt Morgan, Elizabeth Morgan, Rachael Hancock (Joey), Anna Hilton (Tim), and Rebecca Morgan and one great-granddaughter, Ella. Hilton. Emily was preceded in death by her three sisters and two brothers, Eva, Mary, Martha, Joseph and Lloyd.
