Emily Knight Langston

Emily Knight Langston of Goose Creek, SC, died Friday, September 17, 2010 peacefully at her home.  

Born September 3, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was one of three children of Rubin Earl Knight and Janie Madeline Attaway Knight.  Ms. Emily Langston was employed by Frederick Richards for 36 years, which later became International Forwarders Inc., where she worked for the past eleven years, until her death.

 She is survived by her sisters, Katherine Barnette and her husband Joseph of Charleston and Earlene Parks and her husband, Gen. G.L. Parks of Beaufort, SC; nieces and nephews: Debbie and her husband Les Whitzel, Jennifer and her husband Olin Strange,  Joe and his wife Jennifer Barnette, Gary Lee and his wife Alisha Parks, Jr., Tammy Anne Parks; great nieces and nephews:  Joey Barnette,  Jillian Barnette and Jenna Barnette, Erynn E. Strange, Hannah Marie Strange, Raymond Joseph Courtney, Annabell Parks, Conner Parks.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM. In the chapel of  J. HENRY  STUHR, INC,  NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends in at the funeral home on Monday, September 20, 2010 between 7:00 and 9:00 PM.
