Emily Nicole Getman, 18, of Hanahan, SC, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr Northwoods Chapel.

Emily was born March 19, 1999 in Charleston, SC, daughter of Victor Getman and Catherine Swenson Getman. She was a student at Hanahan High School and a member of the Hanahan High School Marching Band Color Guard.She is survived by her parents; three brothers, Alexander Getman, Jamie and Donovan Sessoms all of Hanahan, SC; and her maternal grandmother, Marti Swenson of Portland, OR; godmothers, Regina Sessoms and Rita Wilson of Hanahan; Aunt Mary Anne Robertson (Wayne) of Moncks Corner, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew James Swenson.
