Elzie "EJ" Ackerman

Elzie Junior Ackerman, 72, of Goose Creek, SC husband of Irene Ackerman died Sunday, March 18, 2012, peacefully at home.
Born March 17, 1940 in Ridgeville, SC he was one of seven children of Elzie L. Ackerman and Edna Davis Ackerman. He was an employee with the Pepsi Beverage Company for 52 years. He enjoyed reading his Bible and fishing.
Mr. Ackerman is survived by his wife of 15 years, Irene Ackerman; sons: Glen Ackerman, David Ackerman, Robert Ackerman; brothers, W.C. Ackerman and Wesley Ackerman; sisters: Jo Ann Ackerman Lewis, Jean Ackerman McDaniel and Connie Ackerman Muckenfuss; step-daughters: Sharon Desonia, Julie Wagner and Laurie Lewis; step-son, James Fowler; foster sister and brother, Valerie Ethridge and Timmy Muckelvaney; step-brother, John Muckenfuss, Jr.; 18 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elliot Ackerman; step-son, Bobby Fowler; and granddaughter, Angel Ackerman.
The memorial service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
