Elwyn F. Woods, 90, of Ravenel, South Carolina, husband of the late Ernestine Strickland Woods, entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 24, 2026. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Grace United Methodist Church, 1601 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Grace United Methodist Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Elwyn was born January 20, 1936, in Ridgeland, South Carolina, son of David Irving Woods and Helen Woods. He worked in the trucking industry, and owned a trucking company for many years. He was an avid gardener, and it gave him great pleasure sharing his prize tomatoes and other vegetables with friends and family. In his retirement years, he enjoyed driving a bus for Ashley Park Retirement home, where he made many treasured friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and later in life, target shooting with his grandsons.

He is survived by his son Paul Woods (Lisa), and his daughter Susanne Woods King (Charles). He was the proud grandfather of Katie Woods, Abbie Woods, John Woods, Andrew King (Chandler), and Matthew King. He was great grandfather to Morgan Jones, Lincoln Goree, and Marley Ruth King. He is also survived by two beloved sisters, Wanda Mabrey of Beaufort and Loretta Cupples of Dyersburg, Tenn. He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, three older brothers, two younger brothers, and his youngest sister.
