Elwood Eugene Jackson, Jr., 50, of Summerville, South Carolina, died Saturday, May 20, 2017. His Graveside Service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Wilson Cemetery, 761 Wilson Cemetery Road at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Mount Pleasant CHAPEL.
Gene was born June 4, 1966 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, son of Elwood Eugene Jackson, Sr. and Linda Staley Jackson. Gene was a loving son and father and he enjoyed working as a commercial fisherman. He had many talents, but he was happiest on the water.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Dorothy "Bug" Kay Seay (Wesley) of Moncks Corner, SC; grandson, Alex Seay; and his girlfriend, Susan Glenn.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Jackson; and both sets of grandparents, Tommy and Sadie Jackson and William and Myrtis Staley.
Memorials may be made to the Wilson Cemetery Fund, 870 Lyon Rd., Awendaw, SC 29429.
