Eloise Morrow Tennyson, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Barney Mack Tennyson, Jr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 6, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Eloise, "Weezie", was born May 27, 1924 in Bessemer City, North Carolina, daughter of the late David Alexander Morrow and Laura Mae Kiser Morrow. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston. She had a life-long, authentic faith in Jesus Christ and a deep love for her family.
Weezie is survived by her four sons: William P. Tennyson (Roclyn) of James Island, Barney Mack Tennyson, III (Sharon) of Silver Springs, MD, James C. Tennyson (Robin) of Edisto Island, and Robert L. Tennyson (Lynne) of Mt. Pleasant; fourteen grandchildren: Earl, K.C., John, Stephanie, Christopher, Sarah, Rebekah, Anna, Allie, Emma, Jessica, Hannah, Marie, and Morgan; fourteen great-grandchildren: Micah, William, Jayden, Jake, Kassie, Gabriel, Mariah, Tori, Lexi, Bella, Marguerite, Jackson, Eliza, and Zelda; a brother, Marvin Morrow of Bessemer City, NC; and a sister, Elizabeth M. Hovis of Bessemer City, NC.
She was predeceased by her husband; two brothers: David A. Morrow and Harry Morrow; son, David L. Tennyson; grandson, Charles Tennyson, and her parents.
