Ellen Peterson Giardino

Ellen Peterson Giardino, 74, of Seabrook Island, South Carolina, wife of Paul Giardino, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, 2024 at J. Henry Stuhr Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. 

Ellen was born January 23, 1950 in Hackensack, New Jersey, daughter of Walter E. Peterson and Gloria Major Peterson. She was raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey and graduated from Ridgewood High School.

Ellen was an Office Manager for a pension management firm for 20 years before retiring and moving to Seabrook Island in 2000. In service to her new community, she served on SIPOA, Newcomers Committee and Events Committee. Ellen was a volunteer at Our Lady of Mercy Outreach Center. She loved the natural beauty of Seabrook Island.

Ellen is survived by her husband; her son, Paul R. Giardino (Stacy); daughter-in law, Missy Sinquefield; grandchildren: Sara, Domenick, and Matthew Giardino; sisters: Linda Letz and Karen Krohn; brothers: Walter Peterson and Robert Peterson; and 14 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Peter T. Giardino.
