Ellen Stuhr Blakeney, 74, of Charleston, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the Downtown Chapel.

Ellen was born November 6, 1940 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late J. Albert Stuhr and Catherine Bryant Stuhr. She attended Charleston schools and was a retired bank teller with Bank of America.

Ellen is survived by her three sons: E. DuBose Blakeney IV (Molly) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Stuart B. Blakeney (Karen) of Charleston, SC, and C. Bennett Blakeney (Becky) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, John A. Stuhr, Jr. (Cam); sister, Betsy Stuhr Parker (Horry); and five grandchildren: Graham McGinnis, Blakeney McGinnis, Sam Blakeney, and Elle Blakeney.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine Ellen Blakeney.
