Ella Marie Studemeyer

Ella Marie Lowder Studemeyer, 86, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Joseph R. Studemeyer, died Sunday, August 26, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Her seven grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a vigil rosary starting at 6:00 pm. Marie Studemeyer was born May 29, 1926 in Manning, SC, daughter of the late Henry Hamilton Lowder and Edith Lorainne Haley Lowder. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and was a retired registered nurse and night supervisor for fifty years at Baker Hospital. She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley "Shany" S. Ezell and husband Robert of Spartanburg, SC and Marilyn S. Studemeyer of North Charleston, SC; two sons, J. Gregory Studemeyer and wife Wanda of Columbia, SC and L. Wayne Studemeyer of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Corine Thompson Jones of Myrtle Beach, SC and Patricia Smith of McColl, SC; brother, Tommy Reynolds of FL; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy S. Drawdy, and two brothers Roy and Clyde Lowder. Her family wishes to express their appreciation for the love, care and friendship provided by Gerri Williamson.
