Elizabeth Norfleet Wieters

November 10, 1955 — July 11, 2011

Beth Norfleet Wieters, 55, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 at her home with her loved ones gathered around her.  A Celebration of Beth's Life will be held on July 15, 2011 at the home of Beth and Sue from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. 


Beth was born on November 10, 1955 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Bettie Norfleet Wieter and the late Chanson Adolph Wieters.  She was a Professional Dog Groomer, having worked with "For Pet's Sake."  A former Parrot Head, honorary Turtle Team member, Beth love fly-fishing, gardening, painting, and all arts and crafts. She was always interested in animals, music, and loved the mountains.  Beth loved her home and took great pride in decorating it and making it a welcoming place to all her friends and family.  One of the joys of Beth's life was having a good time.  She possessed a quiet faith in God and lived that faith through giving to other people.   


She is survived by her partner, Sue Hogan of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her mother, Bettie Norfleet Wieters of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her daughter, Acadia R. Hughes of Texas; three grandchildren; her brother, Chanson Adolph Wieters, Jr. of Clemmons, NC; and a number of nieces. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Beth's memory to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC  29412 or Sea Turtle Hospital, 100 Aquarium Wharf Street, Charleston, SC  29401 or the "Plant a Tree" program of The Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor Avenue, Nebraska City, NE  68410
