Elizabeth "Betsy" Till Walsh, 94, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 5, 2025. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the interment at the residence of Frederick and Caroline Jumper.
Betsy received her Bachelor's Degree from Limestone College. A little later in life she moved from Columbia, S.C. back to Beaufort, S.C. and became a well respected Realtor where she enjoyed selling homes to newcomers for many years. Betsy was an avid Bridge player and embraced her volunteer work at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Her compassion for dogs was undeniable and she had a deep affection for each of her dogs. Her religious faith continued strong as she spent her last several years in worship and service at the Episcopal Church at Bishop Gadson in Charleston, S.C.
Betsy was a proud mother to her two children, Christine Elizabeth Jumper of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Frederick Augustine Jumper, Jr. (Caroline) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She treasured her grandchildren, Caroline McCormick (John) of Mount Pleasant and Isabella Cain Macbeth "Charlie" of Charleston, South Carolina, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Lydia, and Philip. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick J. Till and Grace Loper Till; her first husband, Frederick Augustine Jumper; her former husband, William D. Walsh, Jr., two siblings, James Till and Frederick J. Till, and her great-grandson, Henry McCormick.
Betsy's legacy of love, service, and devotion to her family and community will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
