Elizabeth Miles Simons, 99, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of  Melvin Palmer Simons entered into eternal rest Monday, September 5, 2022. Her funeral service will be held graveside Friday, September 9, 2022 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 11:00 a.m.  

Elizabeth was born November 8, 1922 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Samuel Pickens Miles and Henrietta Gourdine Gaillard Miles.  She was a graduate of Winthrop College. 

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Dow of Preston, CT and son, Miles Gaillard Simons of Boca Raton, FL; and two grandchildren: Daniel Dow and Rebecca Dow. She was predeceased by a son, John Edward Simons.
