Elizabeth Ann Glover Schaffer, 95, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Frederick Long Schaffer Jr. entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 16, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 in St. John's Episcopal Church, 3673 Maybank Hwy, at 1:00 pm officiated by Reverend Canon Calhoun "Callie" Walpole, Vicar. Burial will follow in churchyard. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Elizabeth was born September 22, 1928 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Francis Lee Glover and Ethel May Meyer Glover.
Elizabeth is survived by her three children: James F. Schaffer (Betty) of Charleston, SC, Susan Schaffer Davis (John) and Melissa Schaffer both Johns Island, SC; daughter-in-law, Becky Schaffer; brother-in-law, Ray Lambert both of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren: Rebecca Warren (Kemper), Frederick Schaffer, Jr. (Susie), Miley Davis, David Case (Angie), Ashley Schaffer, Anne Schaffer and Sarah Schaffer; five great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Riley, Peyton, Grace and Sinclaire; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Douglas Schaffer; grandson, Bradley Schaffer; sister, June Lambert; and brothers: Francis Glover, Harold Glover and Arthur Glover.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Martha Smith, Sara Gethers and all the staff at Indigo Hall for their caregiving. Additional thanks for the special care provided by Dr. George Keough and medical staff.
