Elizabeth Nettie Davis Orvin

Elizabeth Nettie Davis Orvin, 90, of Goose Creek, SC, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Her graveside service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Doctors Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 126 Doctors Creek Road, Walterboro, SC at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC.

Elizabeth was born August 20, 1927 in Summerville, SC, daughter of the late James Pickney Davis and the late MayBelle Buck Davis. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her flowers. She attended Summerville Family Worship Center and Grace Fellowship Church.

She is survived by five daughters: Nancy Knight of Bonneau, SC, Mary Frances (BJ) Baxter of Hermitage, TN, Lyndia Ann Orvin of Goose Creek, SC, Donna Ray Dorrah of Enoree, SC and Terry Lee (Anthony) Tobey of Hanahan, SC; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Z. Orvin, Jr., two sons, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
