Elizabeth Risher McLendon

Elizabeth Risher McLendon, 81, of Goose Creek, SC, wife of Kenneth W. McLendon, died Saturday, January 10, 2015. Her funeral service will be held Monday, January 12, 2015, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Elizabeth was born July 4, 1933 in Dorchester County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Derrick Jacob Risher, Sr. and the late Matilda Infinger Howard. She was a past president and chaplain of BPO #231, D.O.E.S. Elizabeth was a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years; a son, Ricky McLendon of Goose Creek; a daughter, J. Elizabeth Buckner (Rick) of Goose Creek; a grandson, Chad Wessinger (Lindsay); five great-grandchildren, Julianna, Logan, Chase, Cayleigh and Lexi; two sisters, Minnie R. Stroble (Jack) of St. George and Nancy Pendarvis of Harleyville; and two brothers, Derrick J. Risher, Jr. (Pansy) of Harleyville and Glen Risher (Rhonda) of Harleyville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marion S. Risher, Sr. and a sister, Daisy R. Drose
