Elizabeth Crosland Massalon

Elizabeth Crosland Massalon, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Robert Glennan Massalon, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 6, 2025 in the Pinecrest Baptist Church, at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Libby was born June 18, 1935 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Elton Crosland, II and Corey Estell Fersner Crosland. Libby worked at St. Mark United Methodist Church for 49 years as an administrative assistant to 17 pastors during those years. She was a very active member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She appreciated all the love and support from the congregation.

Libby and Glenn were married for 60 years. Glenn was in the Navy, so she followed him for 20 years to many states. She loved music, and loved playing in so many churches. She was the organist for Pinecrest Baptist Church for 30 years. She also played the piano and sang in the choir for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Massalon (Aaron) Bolick, Cindy Massalon (Russell) Cooper; two sons, Robert "Bobby" Massalon, Jr., James (Shelley) Massalon; six grandchildren, Bryan (Rachel) Bolick, Matthew (Jenna) Bolick, Russell Cooper, Heather Cooper, Courtney Cooper, and Jackson Massalon; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Rosell, Ryan Kasten, Camryn Kasten, Ellison Bolick, Lawson Bolick; and brother, James "Uncle Bubba" (Lyn) Crosland, III. Also a very special friend they considered a granddaughter, Michele Wilson and her daughter, Bella.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Myra Massalon.
