Elizabeth Hunt Knight

Elizabeth Hunt Knight, 87, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Charles Knight died Monday, March 25, 2013. The relatives and friends of Elizabeth Knight are invited to attend her Funeral Service Saturday, March 30, 2013 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 604 Pitt Street, at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, March 29, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Elizabeth was born August 24, 1925 in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Thomas Martin Hunt and the late Ella Hunt. Elizabeth loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was also a member of the Order of the Does #242 of the Charleston Elks Lodge, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Charleston Rifle Club and a former member of the Groves Garden Club. Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for over 60 years.

She is survived by her son, Thomas P. Hanson, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandsons, Adam Wright, Thomas Shokes, and Hunter Hanson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas P. Hanson, John Frederick, Charles Knight, her four brothers, four sisters and her daughter, Carol Ann Wright.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 604 Pitt Street, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
