Elizabeth D. Hughes, 60, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 11, 2020. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday,
January 21, 2019, in at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel,1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born December 1, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina, Elizabeth was daughter of the late Phillip DuTart and the late Patricia DuTart Mattox. She retired as a manager working with government contracting. She was a great mom and Nana and helped take care of Sawyer.

She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Chapman (Ian) and grandson, Sawyer, of Charleston, SC; brother, Peppy DuTart (Alice) of Summerville, SC; step-mother, Nedra DuTart of Mt. Pleasant, SC; former spouse, James E. Hughes of Awendaw, SC and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie DuTart.
