Elizabeth Johns Carter Byrd Frink, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of George M. D. Frink, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 1, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Beth was born February 9, 1937 in Lodge, South Carolina, daughter of Jacob L. Carter and Ruby Johns Carter. She was a retired employee of the Charleston County School District. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Charleston. For over 50 years of her life she served as a church pianist in churches large and small. Her last position was that of Church Pianist at First Baptist Church of North Charleston, a position she held for almost nine years.
She is survived by her spouse, George M. D. Frink of Charleston; two daughters, Lewis Ann Litchfield (Michael) of Kingsland, GA, Leslie Elizabeth Shields (Tom Fullmore); a son, Lawrence Paul Byrd (Jun) of Kingsland, GA; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Dewey Lewis Byrd and two sisters, Pauline Carter and Alice Warren.
