Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of February 24, 2011, Elizabeth Fletcher Cole, widow of Roy Francois Cole. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Monday, February 28, 2011 at 3:00pm. Burial will be private in Old St. Andrew's Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends Sunday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm at #7 Rutledge Avenue.
Mrs. Cole was born November 29, 1920 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Furman W. Fletcher and Ruby Fuller Fletcher. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, D.A.R. Rebecca Motte Chapter and served with the American Red Cross Club Mobile during World War II in France and England. She retired as a Legal Research Analyst.
She is survived by one daughter: Elizabeth Cole Andrews of Charleston, SC; two sons: Roy F. Cole, Jr. (Patty) and Furman F. Cole (Martha) both of Charleston, SC; one sister: Margaret F. Price (Thomas) of Columbia, SC; five granddaughters: M.E.B. Shue, Laura B. Cole, Patricia A. Cole Ard, Elizabeth McPherson Cole and Ellen F. Cole; two great grandsons: Noah Shue and Patrick Shue. Thanks to her caregivers: Shyrell Taylor, Roberta Parker and Vanessa Drayton.
