Elizabeth Crider Calder of the Gardens, Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina died November 11, 2011 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was the widow of John F. Calder. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside services Monday, November 14, 2001 at 1:00 pm in Bethany Cemetery, Charleston, South Carolina. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Butler, Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Sunday between 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Mrs. Calder was born December 19, 1922 in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late James Mark Crider Sr., and Inez Sineath Crider. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She attended the College of Charleston and was a member of Alpha Kappa chapter of Phi Mu, women's fraternity at the College. She was also a former member of The Arion Society Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, John F. Calder, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Atlanta, Georgia, a son Mark C. Calder and his wife Wanda of Raleigh, North Carolina and a daughter Lisa C. Teeter and her husband Ken of Clayton, North Carolina, Five Grandchildren, Amanda Butler of Perry, Georgia, Laura Parsons of Johnson City, Tennessee, Chase Calder of Raleigh, North Carolina, Allison Calder of Raleigh, North Carolina and Hayden Teeter of Clayton, North Carolina, Two Great Children, Katy and Layton Butler of Perry, Georgia, a brother, James M. Crider, Jr., of Summerville, South Carolina and a Sister-in-law, Elizabeth C. Hesse of Mt. Pleasant of South Carolina.
