Elizabeth Annette Ripley Bryant, 61, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Thomas Mitchum Bryant III, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 26, 2013. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services Friday March 1, 2013 in Bethel United Methodist Church, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Beth was born July 17, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of John Labree Ripley and Ruth Chandler Ripley. She was a retired Media Specialist with the Charleston County School District. A 1969 graduate of St. Andrews High School, a 1973 graduate of Columbia College, and a 1999 graduate of University of South Carolina. She was a life member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, Chancel Choir, Past President of the United Methodist Women, and a member of the Charleston Area Columbia College Alumni Club.
She is survived by her mother of Charleston, SC; daughter, Chandler B. Dabit (Yousef) of Charleston, SC; son, Thomas Mitchum Bryant IV (Joanna) of Heath Springs, SC; brother, John Labree Ripley, Jr. (Tina) of Charleston, SC; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Dabit, Amirah Dabit, Ava Bryant and Isabella Bryant. Beth is additionally survived by her godson, Allen Rogers; mother-in-law, Frances M. Bryant of Greeneville, TN; two nephews, John (Rip) Ripley and Adam Bryant; two nieces, Shaffer Ripley and Lee Bryant.
