Elizabeth F. Brabham

Elizabeth F. Brabham, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 7, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street, at 1:00 pm. Interment to immediately follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Liz was born April 30, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Otis B. Brabham and Frances Fender Brabham. Growing up in the Lowcountry, she attended Charleston High School, class of 65. Liz was a staple on the waterfront for 50 years. She was the terminal manager for Wando Trucking Inc. for 30 years. She was a member of the Charleston Motor Carrier Association and the Propeller club. In 2015 Charleston Woman and International Trade nominated Liz for woman of the year. The Elizabeth F. Brabham Scholarship through Motor Carriers Association was founded in her honor. As the owner of Waterfront Catering, she catered many weddings and events, and was most known for her hot dog chili at the annual oyster roasts as well as many other recipes. She has touched and molded many lives through her wide reach in the Low Country. She will be missed and remembered by all who interacted with her.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Brian Roberts of Cross, SC; granddaughter, Heather Bell (Matthew) of Ridgeland, SC; and by many other family members, friends, and friends who have become family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha B. Hodge.
