Elizabeth Denton Blocker

Elizabeth Denton Blocker,87, of Charleston, SC, widow of Richard William Blocker entered into eternal rest July 17, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 in Doorway Baptist Church, 7825 Dorchester Road at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Elizabeth was born October 18, 1929 in Montgomery, Georgia, daughter of the late Charles Lewis Denton and Edna Pridgen Denton. She was a member of Doorway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane B. Barber (Alan) of North Charleston, SC; son, Richard William Blocker, Jr., (Aggie) of Midlothian, VA; brother, Kenneth Denton of Waynesboro, VA; She was blessed with six grandchildren, Kerri Ann East, Becky Gizzi, Bryan Blocker, Brad Blocker, James William Roe, Kevin Kelly, and ten great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Harold Denton.
