Elisha Theodore Greene

Elisha Theodore "Ted" Greene, Jr., 86, of Ladson, SC, husband of Joan Barnett Greene died Thursday, August 2, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel at 11:00 am. Entombment with military honors will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Ted was born July 21, 1926 in Murphy, NC, son of Elisha Theodore Greene, Sr. and Edith James Greene. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Trident Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Joan Greene of Ladson, SC; daughter Sharon Fitzgerald (Rob) of Savannah, GA; son, Ron Greene (Martha) of Cheraw, SC; two grandsons, Ben Greene (Brandi) of Summerville, SC and Josh Fitzgerald of Denver, CO; granddaughter Adriana Fitzgerald of Centerville, VA; three great grandchildren, Wesley, Riley and Chloe Greene; three brothers, Don Greene of Stanley, NC, Jim Greene of Gastonia, NC, and Karl Greene of Lancaster, SC; two sisters, Willa Mae Davis of Helen, GA and Geraldine Greene of Lancaster, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Gaye McNeil and Kathryn Hall.
