Elise Thees Reese

Elise Thees Reese, 102, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Hoyt E. Reese, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 26, 2014. Her graveside service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 10:30 am. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Elise was born January 16, 1912 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Henry C. Thees and Annie Stelling Thees. She graduated from Memminger High School and retired as a bookkeeper with Lakeside-Schwettmann Drug Store. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her nephew, A.L. Hutchinson, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC; two nieces: Barbara M. Robbins of Charleston, SC and Kim T. Thrasher of Birmingham, AL; four great nieces: Diane Mathews Hutchinson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Barbara Susan R. Keefer of Charleston, SC, Kathy H. Disher of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Jessica Lewis of Birmingham, AL; three great-nephews: Loyd L. Keefer of Charleston, SC, Kenneth H. Robbins, Jr., of Columbia, SC, Jonathan Lewis of Birmingham, AL; two great-great nephews: Thomas P. Disher of Charleston, SC and Christopher M. Robbins of Myrtle Beach, SC; and two great-great nieces: Brianna E. Blanchard of Charleston, SC and Ali H. Blanchard of Charleston, SC.
