(Rocky) Goldberg, a prominent Charleston attorney. Rocky and elise were married for almost 35 years; her beloved Rocky passed away in 1981. In 1986, she married Robert (Pepper) Hyatt whom she had known since her childhood in Birmingham. She founded Brownie Troop #7 and served as its Troop Leader for many years; she was known to all as Miss elise, spelling her first name with a lower case "e."

She was a business woman and one of the pioneers in the field of market research in the Southeast Region of the US. Her company, CHAI Research, was the first in Charleston to conduct surveys on newly developed brands. She also enjoyed her relaxation activities of reading, needlepoint, cross stitch and playing mahjong and canasta with the same group of woman for 25 years.

Mrs. Goldberg Hyatt was a devoted member of Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim (KKBE), a former KKBE Sunday School teacher, a member of the KKBE Sisterhood and a life-time member of Hadassah, serving as President of the Charleston Chapter.
