Elisabeth Martin Parker

Elisabeth Martin Parker, 78, of North Charleston, SC, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 surrounded by her family. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 3:00 pm. The burial will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

Elisabeth was born November 5, 1938 in Saint-Mihiel Meuse France, daughter of the late Rene Charles Martin and the late Anne Marie Charles Martin. She was a Medical Records Specialist and worked in medical records at Medical University of SC for 26 years.

She is survived by three daughters: Leigh Elisabeth (James) Brown of Summerville, SC, Claudette Jane (E. Lindsay) Blanks of Goose Creek, SC and Charleen (Ronald E.) Shirley of Ridgeville, SC; son, Jimmy L. (Judith "Judy") Parker, Jr. of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren: James D. "JD" Brown, Jr., Lauren E. Brown, Crystal L. Whetstone, Jenny L. Parker, Bryant C. Blanks; three great-grandchildren: Mikayla E. Whetstone, Kenzie L. Whetstone and Damien A. Brown; life long friend, Bettie (Dillard) Harris of Abilene, TX. She was preceded in death by her brother, Claude Martin.
