Eliana Romeo

Eliana Romeo, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 30, 2022. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 3:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior.

Eliana was born May 14, 1929 in Santiago, Chile, daughter of the late Emilio Romeo and Magdelena Miglio Romeo. Eliana was a dedicated employee for the Organization of American States (OAS) for 22 years (1967-1989). When she retired from the OAS, she acted as a volunteer for several organizations. Eliana was married twice and divorced. Both husbands are now deceased, Boris Ibanez and Cristian Garcia-Godoy.

She is survived by her daughter, Eliana Ibanez-Burnham (George) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Nick Samuels, Angelica Keller (Brandon), Claudia Prescott (JahB’) and Alexis Oritz (Mitchell); along with Great Grandchildren, Ava and Owen Keller; and Matthew Burnham.
