Eleanor B. Ketchie

Eleanor B. Ketchie, 96, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Irvin Ketchie, died Friday, February 10, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the graveside in Friendship Cemetery, Anna, Illinois, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 18, in Crain Funeral Home, Anna, Illinois, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Local arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, where a visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Eleanor was born February 13, 1921 in Anna, Illinois, daughter of the late Dee Brimm and Vica Young Brimm. She loved the outdoors, and could be found working in her yard surrounded by flowers. She was adored by family and friends and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters: Janis Dewitt (David) of North Charleston, SC, and Bobbye Heerboth (Dave) of Webster Groves, MO; sister, Virginia Miles of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren: Sarah and Eliza Heerboth, Dave Dewitt and Dana Heyward; great-grandchildren: Keaton and Colin Heyward; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Whitney and Adonis Watson; and her brother, Charles D. Brimm.
