Eleanor W. Clayton, 94, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Clyde H. Clayton entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Her funeral service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm.  Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Eleanor was born September 5,1928, in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Osborn White and the late Mary Lucille Mitchell White. She attended Rivers High School and was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. She loved to have fun, laugh and receive visitors. She also loved flowers and sweets. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Phillips (Steve) of North Charleston, SC and Deborah Culbertson (Jimmy) of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Sean Culbertson (Jenny), Melody Keller (Rusty), Clay Guerry (Jesse) and Cole Guerry (Cassidy); eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and special friends that cared for her: Kayci, Lisa, and Cynthia.

She was preceded in death by her son, Clyde H. Clayton, Jr.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 4990 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418.
