Eleanor "Ellie" Berlin Billen

Eleanor Billen of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died peacefully Friday at the age of 82.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Sadie Berlin of Greenwood, SC and her husband, Daniel Billen. She is survived by three children, daughter, Robin M. Elder of Mt. Pleasant, SC, daughter, Rhonda A. Patterson of West Plains, Missouri, and son, Jerry Billen of Greenwood, SC, as well as three grandchildren, Harrison, Rachael, and Samantha.

Eleanor, affectionately known as "Ellie", was born in Charlotte, NC. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her family was her greatest passion. Her good nature, kind heart, generous spirit, and sense of humor, will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to know her. We would like to thank the staff at Somerby of Mt. Pleasant for being her second family and providing loving care. We would also like to thank Hospice of Charleston for providing her the comfort and peace she so sorely needed in her last days.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 at 2:00 PM, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Somerby. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
