Eleanor W. Andrews

March 29, 1920 — October 2, 2014

Eleanor Weathers Andrews, 94, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Charles Marion Andrews, Jr., passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Eleanor was born March 29, 1920 in Ellington, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Oliver Weathers and Claire Risher Weathers. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church for over 66 years, where she was a faithful member of her Circle Group. She was active throughout the community, and loved to travel in her spare time. Eleanor will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and sister. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons, Michael D. Andrews of Charleston, SC and Dr. James C. Andrews and his wife, Sandy, of Wadmalaw Island, SC; her sister, Kathryn Weathers Long of Charleston, SC; her four grandchildren, Kristin Carter, David Andrews, Caroline Andrews and Allison Andrews; and her great-grandson, Charles Andrews. Eleanor, was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marion Andrews, Jr.; and her brothers, James Harris Weathers, John Weathers, and Robert O. Weathers.
