Elda Smith Hanf, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Joseph Bartow Hanf, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 14, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 18, 2016, in Harbor Light Baptist Church, 1300 Fort Johnson Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Elda was born May 6, 1946 in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of Cornelius "CO" O. Smith and Mary Smith. She was a retired Director of Human Resources for William M. Bird and Company, Inc. Elda was a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church and a former church pianist.

She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Hanf Tucker (Paul) of Johns Island, SC; son, Jason C. Hanf (Laura) of Myrtle Beach, SC; three granddaughters, Bailey O'Neal Tucker, Jenna Biering Tucker and Madison Grace Hanf.
