Eileen Nellie Drislan, 83, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., wife of the late John James Drislan, died on Sunday, January 28, 2018. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel located at 2180 Greenridge Road from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The relatives and friends of Eileen are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, located at 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, S.C. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
Eileen Drislan was born June 18, 1934, in Fall River, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Louis Beleski and Stella Beleski. She graduated from College Misericordia in Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science and obtained a nursing degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania. She received a Masters of Arts from Central Michigan University. On November 30, 1957, she married her husband, John James Drislan.Her faith was an inspiration to many. She touched many lives as an ordained minister. She spent her life sharing God's Word, praying for and ministering to others through counseling and teaching bible studies. Her family will always remember her as a devoted and loving wife, an exceptional mother who raised her children with unconditional love and encouragement. Her friends will remember her as a mighty prayer warrior.
Eileen Drislan is survived by her children: Linda Drislan Cioffi (Jack), of Bronxville, N. Y.; Mary Drislan Madden (James), of Goose Creek, S. C.; Jodie Drislan Legg (Brian), of Hanahan, S.C., and John Louis Drislan (Dena), of Goose Creek, S.C. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Hayley Bargesser; William Cioffi; Serena Madden, Jonathan Bargesser and Elizabeth Cioffi.
