Edwin "Ned" Belser Swan, 32, of Washington, District of Columbia, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 5, 2014. His funeral service will be held, Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, at 4:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Ned was born February 1, 1982 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Stephen H. Swan and Loretta Sullivan Swan. He was a graduate of Nativity School, James Island High School, College of Charleston and Georgetown University School of Law. He served as a law clerk for Federal District Court Judge Robert M. Chatigny in Connecticut before becoming an attorney in the Baker and McKenzie Law firm in Washington, DC, where he was employed until his death.
He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Loretta Swan of Charleston, SC; a brother, Stephen H. Swan, Jr. (Krysten) of Charleston, SC; three sisters, Laura Moss (John) of Denver, CO, Rachel Swan of James Island, SC and Anna Swan of Philadelphia, PA; his grandmother, Ludeweka Sullivan of Shreveport, LA and fiance`, Maya Ashwal of Washington, DC.
