Edwin Howard, 90, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widower of Joan Ruth Finkelstein Howard entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 7, 2019. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be Sunday, May 12, 2019 in, Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet Street, Houston, TX.

Edwin was born June 14, 1928 in Brooklyn , New York, son of the late Murray Howard and Sireena Kramer Howard. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans. Edwin was a retired owner of Comfy Shops and Bedspread Warehouse and a member emeritus of Congregation Emanu El in Houston, TX.

He is survived by his son, Todd Howard (Alessandra) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Janine Gorell (Sheldon) of Lubbock, TX; brother, Jack Howard of Las Vegas, NV; and three grandchildren: Jacob Howard, Samantha Howard and Jonathan Gorell. His additional family includes: Quentin Leonard, Gustavo DeOlivira and Jessica Coatsworth.
