Edwin Reeves Hazel

Edwin Reeves Hazel, Jr., 67, of North Charleston, SC, died Saturday, September 7, 2013. A graveside service will be held in Carolina Memorial Park Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Eddie was born April 10, 1946 in Charleston, SC, the son of Edwin Reeves Hazel and Virgie Cercopely Kemp. He was a retired Tree Surgeon with Van Smith's Tree Service and a member of Miles Road Baptist Church. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels, and loved table pool.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Christ and her husband, Charles Creech, of Charleston, SC; son, Edwin Reeves Hazel III of Wheatley,TN; three step-children; two sisters: Alice Jordan of North Charleston, SC and Diane McAlhaney of Charleston, SC; brother, Harold Cercopely of Mount Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
