Edward John Zimmerman

Edward John Zimmerman, 57, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 23, 2015. His inurnment will be held at a later date in New Jersey. The family will receive friends Monday, January 4, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Edward was born April 14, 1958 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, son of Thomas Frederick Zimmerman and Emily Koliga Zimmerman. He attended Rider University in Lawrence Township, NJ. He was a retired recycling coordinator. He was raised and worked in Hazlet, NJ and lived in Highlands, NJ during his adult life. Upon retirement, he relocated to Goose Creek, SC. He enjoyed the Atlantic City casinos. He was an avid walker at Sandy Hook, and Belmar, NJ and walked at Northwoods Mall. He loved college and pro football and pro baseball. He was also an avid cat lover. He donated blood and plasma for 25 years to American Red Cross.

He is survived by his brother, Thomas Zimmerman (Karen); and two nieces, Katie Zimmerman of Maui, Hi. and Laura Zimmerman of Savannah GA.
